Welsh Alpine Championships 2023 – Champery, Switzerland’s gateway to the Portes du Soleil ski region
The 2023 Championships consist of five days of competition with training facilities made available to clubs in resort in the build up to the championships. We are delighted to confirm a return to FIS racing (ENL standard) for 2023.
Welsh Alpine Championships week 21-28 January 2023
The five days of competition are designated as our Welsh Alpine Championships. Races are eligible for competitors registered with FIS and their home nation (or holding international licences for non GB competitors). Competitors in these races will fall into two main categories U10/U12 and U14 and older as specific races are run to suit the ages of the competitors.

We are pleased to announce the Welsh Championships programme is now confirmed. Entry facilities and details will open December 2022.
Entry to Events
The competitions will be organised for skiers from FIS, U10/U12 Category through to Masters. GBR competitors must be registered with their Home Nation (Snowsport Wales/England/Scotland), non GBR competitors must provide proof of national licence along with proof of insurance to compete.

Individual prizes will be awarded to both male and female competitors irrespective of nationality, to the first three in each event, in the following categories;

Race Entry Details
To participate in the Welsh Alpine Championships, British competitors must be registered with their Home Nation Governing Body (Snowsport Wales, England, Scotland or Northern Ireland) for the 2023 season.
All competitors must have a current insurance policy that permits them to participate in organised ski racing. The race committee may ask for proof of insurance.
The organising committee reserves the right to refuse entry from skiers who do not demonstrate a minimum level of competence. Entries from competitors with no prior race experience should be supported with a coach’s letter of recommendation.
Entries should be made online https://entries.snowsportengland.org.uk or using the attached official race entry form, one per competitor, and accompanied by the correct entry fees.

Late entries will incur a penalty of £20.00 per event.

Training & Training Pistes
The days prior to the Championships training pistes will be made available to clubs in the resort. Team managers should consult with the race secretary to advise of their clubs requirements.
