National Events & Competitions

If you want to test yourself against the clock and get involved in ski racing, the best starting point is to join a club.  Clubs throughout Wales offer ski race training on the artificial slopes and can help develop your ski racing skills.  They will also organise local races giving you an excellent opportunity to gain some experience before going on to more formally organised and structured races.

Get in to Ski Racing

Whilst we have no snow in Wales where we can train and race on a regular basis, there are events that are run through the winter in the alps (including the Welsh Alpine Championships) where you can race as a British competitor.  If you are looking for a club to support and develop your skills racing in the alps Dragons Alpine (Ski Race Club) are affiliated to Snowsport Wales and provide a school holiday training programme for developing athletes.

Want to do more and test yourself against the rest of the UK or even Internationally?

National events are organised across the UK on artificial slopes (outdoor plastic slope and indoor snow slopes) with a number of these events organised in Wales.  For details of the national calendar of events go to www.gbski.com
