The Welsh Schools Skiing Series is an excellent way for school-age children to get involved with ski racing through their local slope.
Each year Snowsport Cymru Wales organises a series of regional schools skiing events which are ideal for new club skiers to get into ski racing. They are also a great chance to get some racing under your feet before stepping up to the Welsh Schools Championships.
Our annual Snowsport Cymru Wales Regional Schools Skiing events are held on dry slopes around Wales during May and June each year. They are designed as introductory events with the aim of seeing as many children as possible participate in the Welsh Schools Championships which are held at Llangrannog in the autumn [see below for details of our Welsh Schools Championships last year].
We are delighted to announce our programme of regional schools events for 2026. Booking links are now live. Please ensure the correct time slot is selected for your race entry at your local venue. Please do not book more than one event.
RESCHEDULE! The North Wales Regional Schools Races at Llandudno, postponed from 25th June, has been rescheduled for 10th September, 2026. Booking is still open until one week before the race.

Our Welsh Schools Championships took place at Llangrannog ski slope on 11th/12th October 2025. Results from this competition can be found below. The top female, open and mixed gender teams from our October Welsh Schools Championships qualify for the British Schools Championships to be held at a Swadlincote on 23rd November 2025.

The British Schools Championships will be hosted by the Snowsport Scotland in November 2026. Team quotas for 2026 will be published in due course.
Please note if a nation cannot use its full quota the hosting nation will be offered them.
In addition, pupils who finished in the top 5 overall position in the secondary schools races, if their school team have not qualified, are eligible to compete at the British Championships as individuals.
