We are an entirely volunteer-led charity whose aim is to get everyone on the slopes! We have a range of adaptive equipment including sit skis and a hoist, and specially trained instructors and ski guides who are experienced in working within the field of adaptive skiing.
We pride ourselves on ensuring that all our sessions are safely run. On completion of a membership form our skiers and volunteers are covered by Snowsport Wales (SSW) insurance as we are an affiliated club. We adhere to the guidelines provided by SSW in relation to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and have a nominated Welfare Officer.
Our instructors hold nationally recognised qualifications, and our experienced ski guides and slope buddies help our members on the piste, under the supervision of a lead instructor at every session.
The club holds regular training sessions for our sit ski guides, volunteers, and instructors to maintain and improve our teaching skills, and to continually streamline our slope safety and operating procedures. We also hold regular social events throughout the year.
Through training and maintaining standards, we aim to minimise any risk and provide a supportive and safe environment in which to learn.
